Chick-fil-A award to Forgotten Children, Long Beach

Congratulations to Tera Hillard, CEO of Forgotten Children Inc. (FCI) for their national recognition by Chick-fil-A in addressing human trafficking. Based out of Long Beach, FCI has been an instrumental part of the collaborative work to address human trafficking in Southern California.
Fifteen people were selected out of 500 applicants nationwide for Chick-fil-A’s community impact accelerator program. At the completion of the 10-month leadership program finalists did a pitch of their organization’s work to win a donation from Chick-fil-A. FCI won for their anti-human trafficking work which includes safe street outreach on Figueroa, ministry inside the women’s jail, drop-in resource center, case management for survivors of human trafficking, youth prevention and safe housing program. Along with Chick-fil-A’s accelerator program, participants were part of a conference with 350+ nonprofit leaders spanning 42 U.S. states and Canada.
