What: Intersection of Human Trafficking and Health Care.
This course will provide information on identifying and supporting human trafficking victims in the health care setting. We will review the prevalence of sex and labor trafficking in addition to providing tools to identify trafficking victims. The course will provide strategies to connect with patients being trafficked and discuss available resources and outpatient support. In addition, we will discuss unique health care challenges for this population.
